I use svn to get all the bundles from the repository, and, finding a new bundle, I'm like, "What's this bundle for?". I google often, but some of them don't seem to be programming/scripting-related.
Most of the non-language specific bundles has an included Help file with information. Of course this is of little use when you want an overview.
It is on my to-do to provide an improved “get more bundles” experience with lists to pick from categorized etc.
