thank-you, but no matter what I type in the field, the autocomplete remains as ESC. I tried the § key and also one with alt-§. They did not work but ESC still did.

For this one go to edit bundles. Select Bundle Development > Other Actions > Scope Completion The drawer open to the window will have the details. Just click the x in the field labeled Key Equivalent and then record your new key equivalent.
