[TxMt] keyboard shortcut to escape multiple carets

Lets say I search for all periods (.) in a paragraph. I can do this using OPTION+CMD+F, which places multiple carets over each period. Is there a keyboard shortcut to remove the multiple carets and to get back to just one caret?
