The usual suspect is Screen Sharing or the Microsoft remote desktop program (the exact name escapes me at the moment, but it's the equivalent of rdesktop).

Apologies if you are already aware of this, but not all keyboard shortcuts show up in System Preferences. Some are application specific and buried in .plist files. Try:
http://www.manytricks.com/servicescrubber/ (donationware)
to see, and edit, all the keyboard shortcuts assigned by application services.

I recently recognized, that the control + escape shortcut to envoke the gear menu doesn't work. Now I searched the archives, and found that this question has come up before. The only answer was, that it could be that the keyboard shortcut is already assigned in the system-preferences.
Looked there, and it sure isn't.
I even created a new user and tried there, but even there it doesn't work. Is this a known bug? Or am I just missing something?
running latest Leopard.
Thanks, Thomas
