You sound as though you looked at the pictures but didn't read the message. :-)
echo Test > foo.txt ln -s foo.txt bar.txt mate bar.txt
The document displays as bar.txt; if you command-click the title, it shows the path to foo.txt.
I've noticed this too, and it is odd.
