I think "Edit in TextMate" was on the Services menu when I first started using it, but it was changed to an Input Manger. Maybe because the Edit menu is easier to get to? Anyone remember?
The problem with the service was that it had to stall the calling program while TextMate was editing the text, so not very practical.
