I'm in kind of a bad situation, and I lost a few days of work (no fault of TextMate). I did most of my work with TextMate. Are there any caches for edits I might look at to maybe recover some of them?

If you have Time Machine running, which you presumably do since it's part of the system, it's all in there. That's one of its chief purposes.
Also, this won't help right now, but I don't edit anything ever without git standing behind me. I bless its name about twice a day.

If you just quit TextMate it will restore everything next time you open it. Even unsaved data.
