Got this error:
couldn't launch TextMate (you may need to reset your LS database)
after installing b14. I copied tm and tm_wait to /usr/local/bin.

To reset the database use
open <a file>.tmproj
You will be asked whether you really want to open that file for the first time with TextMate. Answer yes and you'll be set.

My database frequently get broken beyond “patch” repair, so I do a hard reset, meaning clearing it entirely and letting it source the places I keep my applications, for that I use this command:
/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Frameworks/ LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r ~/Oak/ Deployment /System/Library/CoreServices /Applications /Developer/ Applications
Unfortunately it means I get all those “are you sure” when double clicking documents for the first time after the reset.
