i've been searching around, and i can't seem to figure out how to have textmate highlight the current line of the cursor. i see the "Line Highlight" in the preferences of the theme, but i can't seem to make it work.
i know i'm probably missing the obvious, but how can i accomplish this?

No problem. Did you try setting the Highlight color on the Theme in the Fonts and Colors tab? http://img.skitch.com/20080615-mu4s8yrc9m7eg41n4xjk8kjpdu.jpg
In the TextMate Preferences: (1) Check "Highlight Current Line" in the "General" tab (2) Set the "Line Highlight" Color of your selected Theme in the "Fonts & Colors" tab
