Sorry, but MATLAB code can get compiled. That's why I assumed he meant compiled when he wrote compiled and why I referred to mcc and emlmcc in my reply, which do exactly that.

lines), I'm working on a matlab console bundle too, which works in a similar way as the R-Console Bundle. I can communicate with matlab both ways now. It's possible send commands to matlab and receive matlab's output.

Nice. (Oh, and being able to run MATLAB commands is of course sufficient to compile it, too. :-))
