Unfortunately, I'm unable to get poedit to work properly on my system  
(keeps telling me it doesn't find anything), and also doesn't really  
work for the smarty templates...

modifying my php function could be an option, but not the automated  
method i'm looking for... but thanks for the feedback, that link will  
come in handy at some point!
