yes, this is exactly what blogmate does.

apologies everyone!!! this was totally my (blogmate's) fault. anyone  
using version 0.5 thru 0.5.2 is likely to experience this problem.

I won't have an opportunity to fix and test this until tonight.

If you are experiencing this problem, you can uninstall blogmate by  
deleting the BlogMate.tmplugin for now.
