Take the plunge, we owe at least that much to the TM team, apart from
reporting bugs.

That being said, I have a Ruby (Rails, Sinatra) & Java (Android) setup for
work and open source both and until now, there hasn't been a deal breaker
issue for me. Minor inconveniences are to be expected on an alpha version
and they will get resolved once Alan and co. are ready to call this as RC1
(or whatever makes more sense than alpha).
