Use ⇧⌘F instead (also works while the dialog is open).

Basically ⌘F / ⇧⌘F is “toggling” the “in” pop-up between document¹ and project folder.

¹ When using ⌘F and having multiple liens selected, the “in” defaults to “selection”.
