I also have some issues with the alt-esc command completion.

To explain when the problem occurs I have to tell you part of my setup:

essay.tex (set as Master File)
background.tex (included in essay.tex with the command
\input{background.tex})

Problem:

When I'm writing in background.tex and write \cit.. and press alt-esc - I
get the full list of available commands (citation, citeauthor, etc.), but
when I try the same in essay.tex the commands are never displayed. When I
press alt-esc after typing \cite{.. I see the BibTeX entries so that works
in all different parts of the essay.

Does anybody know what may cause this and is there any way to solve it?

Thanks for your help!
