Doesn't conflict with what?  I don't mind ⌘{/⌘} since it mentally 
corresponds with ⌘[/⌘] (Firefox back/forward), but if I'm going to hate it 
later, I'd rather change now before I get that muscle memory...

Which apps use it by default?
