I haven't looked at the script itself but this indicates that your TeX
setup is not installed correctly. In Terminal.app, you should be able
to type `which kpsewhich` and it will return a path. The fact that it
does not means there're problems (as far as your TeX distribution is
concerned) with your path settings.

How have you installed TeX?
I strongly recommend <http://www.tug.org/mactex/> if you're not using
it already.
