I guess I'll have to crack open my copy of TextMate's book then, as  
it has a nice chapter about language definition.

I also hope to be able to do something about the OPI, but I'm less  
confident about this. (I haven't used Emacs for 6 years (I was a Vim  
user before switching to TextMate a month ago), and I have a really  
hard time using it.)
