Yes, I'd prefer it that way too. I find myself inadvertently opening  
files when all I want to do is select them for some reason, leaving  
me with a large number of stale tabs. Besides, single-click=select,  
double-click=open is the standard Mac behavior, right? But maybe this  
should be an option in Preferences.
