FYI:
I have disabled Amendment; the problem hasn't gone away, but the
first line is gone (I've also CC'ed Amendment on this message).
Interestingly, telling Amendment not to function inside TextMate
_didn't_ remove the first line.
All the rest of the behaviors are as reported.
