No, the crash log made it seem like the function weren’t linked, but  
the code should have detected that.

You could try setting meta data for your files using the sample  
program linked to from here: http://arstechnica.com/reviews/os/ 
macosx-10.4.ars/7 -- this might show if something is wrong with your  
system.
