I'm using HFS+. I tried both disabling meta data and adding HFS to  
OakDocumentCustomFSMetaData, and both seem to prevent the crashes I  
was experiencing.

Thanks for the workarounds. Any idea what would be causing this with  
an HFS+ file system?
