When I first switched to OS X I wast frustrated about the lack of a
good editor, and almost considered going to linux instead for
Quanta ... but now I'm perfectly happy with TextMate. Yes, to truly
wield it's power you have to know regexp, which I still don't
(although I've gotten plenty of help right here on the list), but you
can always cut and paste a bit in the bundles. The bundles are the
key, and shouldn't be THAT hard to interpret.

blast, now I'll have to check that out as well. Problem with trying
to make your life as easy as possible is that it's a lot of hard work :(
