Cmd-Opt-'Click on TextMate icon in dock' = Minimize everything except  
TextMate
Cmd-Opt-Ctrl-D = Hide TextMate's drawer
Right-click on the Dock divider beside the trash can and select "Turn  
Hiding On"
Click on 'Window Maximize' button (green plus symbol) in top left of  
TextMate window = Maximize TextMate window
Enjoy full-screen TextMate without having to wait!
