[TxMt] Re: `mate <file>` from Terminal is occasionally very slow to open <file> in TextMate

I have encountered this a lot lately as well.  (I am using r27, on MacOS
10.14.5).

It seems that simply pressing a key will somehow signal Textmate to come to
the front with the file open.
I simply press the command key.
