I should probably have elaborated a bit.

Is it for the changed background color? And are you using (or planning 
to use) Dark Mode?

Next build will place an NSVisualEffectView behind the file browser 
which gives it a changed background color. This is in fact the side bar 
material that I believe is used by the normal source list mode, so 
background color is presumably the same.
