OK, turns out the new commit window introduced in 2.0-alpha.9531 only 
works on 10.9.

For now you can downgrade to latest release build (2.0-alpha.9529) by 
going to Preferences → Software Update and change “Watch For” to 
“Normal Release” and then click “Check Now” and downgrade.

Next build should include a commit window that works on 10.7 and 10.8 as 
well.
