First I forgot to mention I'm working on 10.7.4.

It didn't work with TextEdit, TextMate 2, and TextWrangler. With Mail it works.
I know that TextWrangler works internally with \r line endings but TextEdit and TM2?

Furthermore I tried it with Russian textClipping files and either TM2 did nothing (it passes only ASCII) or I got something like this:

;^D8^D:>?>
48C<^D<CR>

Maybe this is also an encoding issue, but as I told it's minor since ⌘C⌘V works.
