Is MAMP relatively similar to XAMPP?

I see the same bug. In TextMate, Bundles->HTML->Open Document in
Running Browser(s) opens in Safari and others, but not in the running
Firefox 7.0.1.
But as soon as I entered the same URL (file:///whatever) in FF7, it
refreshes there too when I selected Bundles->HTML-Refresh Running
Browser(s) [Cmd+r].
