You clicked the wrong button.  There are three text input boxes down 
there.  Two are labeled "Address" and "Password" and are next to a 
button that says "Visit Subscriber List". That's the one you hit.  The 
third box doesn't have a label, and is next to a button that says 
"Unsubscribe or edit options". THAT'S the one you want.  Heck, you don't 
even need to put in your address. Just click the button and you'll be 
prompted for it on the next page.

I'll grant you that not labeling the third text box is a bit confusing. 
When asked for your address it's natural to put it into the field marked 
"Address". Later versions of the list management software (Mailman) fix 
this.  The "Unsubscribe or edit Options" box and button get moved into 
their own section of the page, near the top, so that it's very clear 
which text field goes with which button.
