You can also create a symbolic link to the `mate` command called  
`mate_wait` and it will run with as though you added the `--wait` by  
default. (You would then set your SVN_EDITOR to `mate_wait`.) This is  
useful for situations where whitespace is undesirable in environment  
variables.
