[TxMt] error with Terminal 'mate' command

The command returns
lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 50 7 Mar 18:35 /usr/bin/mate ->
/Applications/TextMate.app/Contents/Resources/mate
So I assume that's the right symbolic link target?

I've done that and it still doesn't work.
