[TxMt] Tooltip marginal ligature "bug/improvement" under Leopard

What font are you using? I know one of the ProFont variants is very  
keen on using ligatures.

I show the text using an NSTextView, and AFAIK there is no way I can  
control the use of ligatures in this.
