Okay, so try in Terminal to run:

     open -a PDFView

Also, is the casing correct?

Next, try the following two commands, and then the find_app again:

     cd /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/ 
Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support
     lsregister -kill -r /System/Library/CoreServices /Applications / 
Developer/Applications

If you PDFView is not in /Applications, add the folder to the list  
above.
