If you're doing this via one of the Markdown=>Multimarkdown=>Convert  
Document_to_xxx commands you'll need to add the single line

Format: complete

at the top of your document.

It might be worth noting that Fletcher Penney has a dedicated  
MutliMarkdown bundle for TextMate.

Using the commands contained in that bundle alleviates the need for  
the "Format:complete" line.
