I've noticed that as well.
Actually I prefer it that way, since a mistake with replace and find,
would quickly spoil a command, without the possibility to undo.

I even use the find only from a document window, doing ctrl cmd E, which
also has the advantage of viewing each codeblock in it's proper Language
Scope and being able to validate sometimes, or check for syntax errors.

When everything is clear, then just cmd S and cmd W, to regain focus.
