[TxMt] Oddity with "Insert Open/Close Tag (With Current Word)"

Explain this, anyone!

Type "chocolate" then press the keyboard shortcut for "Insert Open/ 
Close Tag (With Current Word)" ("^-<).

I get

    <chocolate />

When I expected to see

    <chocolate></chocolate>


eh?

"pudding" gives me

    <pudding></pudding>  but

"chocolatepudding" gives me

    <chocolatepudding />


Is this one of them Easter Eggs?  ;)
