[TxMt] Weird Symbol?

That's normal :)

Yes, the PHP language is imbedded into (usually) HTML, so it's not meant
to be selected directly. Instead, select HTML and PHP will automatically
be included in it in the proper way.

You CAN select the PHP language directly, still, should you want so.
