Because TM is much better at editing code than the crappy R.app  
interface. Ok, it's not too bad, but it's not TM.

Correct. Well, I think the starting point was just  to solve easy  
mathematical tasks, I don't think R was a requirement. It was just  
what the OP was using for the task atm.
