Well I did not want to beat a dead horse and I have to concur with the 
aforementioned arguments about conformity to standard mac OS X 
guidelines. I also agree with the fellow that mentioned the article 
about the little annoyances adding up.

When I first launched TM I immediately went to look for the 
preferences, no kidding, because that really like looking under the 
hood right away.
