Just to throw another idea (Allan will choose priorities) one thing I
like very much in emacs is that it takes into account in text mode
whether the first character's a list item marker. If it is, then
indents the rest of the lines to match the first non-blank after the
bullet (or something like that).
So you get this:
* This is an item in some todo list, with some
description of the task and some guesses about
possible implementations and timings.
Lists in text mode are nicely formatted this way.
