This requires the use of aliases instead of file paths. I will look 
into what can be done -- currently I've avoided them because a) there 
is no Cocoa interface and b) when working a lot with files (as with 
projects) they do tend to be in the way at times (because the alias 
manager tries to second guess my intent), although this is probably 
less of a problem now that path is used before inode or whatever other 
heuristic Apple use.
