A list focussed on files that have been opened, perhaps with a user-setable cap (last n) would be very helpful to me.
I think it’s important to consider that not all people work in the same way, or on the same collections of files, and thus have different needs:
compare person working in one svn project, to person working on a website with 1000s of files to person working on half a dozen projects which change from week to week
This recently used tab would have a list of files that suits the search needs of the latter type of user, and somewhat the person working in folders with thousands of files, where maybe only a dozen are relevant to them.
