As allan said… don't do this. ;) But secondly why are you reading the  
raw XML? The best way to edit a grammar is to use the bundle editor,  
and then once you have the grammar showing use Edit in Textmate. This  
way you get it nicely syntax highlighted with completions and snippets  
and such. And it validates it before you close the editor so you can't  
mess things up. :)

(You can install Edit in Textmate from the Textmate bundle, it will  
appear in your Edit menu.)
