Improve console output for status window:
 • do not have svn_commit.rb use <br> in the output, instead leave that to the receiver
 • do not add extra newline to received output in the displayCommandOutput() function, instead leave that to the caller
 • properly escape output from svn commands called from the status window

Also removed commented (dead) code.
