• the default latex compiler will be set to xelatex if the document / master matches '\\usepackage{.*(xunicode|fontspec)|program=xelatex' — I don’t know if fontspec is really specific to xetex!?!

This change prompted indirectly by Alan (http://pastie.caboo.se/12068) — his pattern however seems to mix basic and extended regexps, so I changed it slightly.
