My previous fix was to hasty (and not solving the actual problem). Now requires word boundaries around _italic_ and re-enabled allowing underscores inside italic (credits goes to Michael Sheets). Changed: U trunk/Bundles/Textile.tmbundle/Syntaxes/Textile.plist
