This sounds great Brad. I'll check it out when I get home.
How I have been doing sections (with folds) is through a snippet:
\%\\startfold
\\section{$1}
$2


\%\\stopfold

and typing \sec<TAB> to get the snippet. I also have them c=for \chap 
etc. but your sounds like a great improvement.

Also, with the PDFlatex command, I had to make a change in the path. Do 
you think this is something we can do with a $WEB_PATH in the 
preference panel" so the code would read

then
    cp "$tmp.pdf" $WEB_PATH/web_kit_workaround.pdf
    chmod 666 $WEB_PATH/web_kit_workaround.pdf
