I think this is because of having the file browser header in the tab bar, which is something that has been disabled for other reasons.
Latest build (v2.0-rc.18) has this change. So probably not the fix you wanted, but should fix it.

Sorry, I overlooked that we don’t actually enable the “blending” of the header unless we are on 10.14.
I pushed a build with a fix.
And if someone wonders: Users who are on 10.14 will not see this update, as the fix is not relevant for them.
