They appeared in latest beta where the file browser was changed from a
cell to a view based outline view.

So it’s definitely related to the file browser.

I don’t have a theory as to the underlying issue so any information
you (or anyone else) might provide would be very useful.

For example which actions let up to the crash, e.g. if it happened just
after opening or closing a window, navigating to another folder, or
similar.
